I Will Dance

I will dance unashamed before my Lord, God, and King
Giving glory to the Father, I will give everything

I will walk unashamed before my Lord, God, and King
Giving glory to the Father, I will give everything

I will walk without fear before my Lord, God, and King
Giving glory to the Father, I will give everything

To the praise of his name

Lord, I Give

Lord, I give my life today
Open my ears to what you say
Teach my heart to know your ways
Humbly I pray

Child, you ask a righteous thing
I receive your offering
Come and bow before your king
Receive new life today

Lord, I give my life to you
Help me to know what to do
Take this heavy yoke away
Humbly I pray

Child, I hear your every cry
I will wipe the tear from your eye
Know the Lord is drawing nigh
Receive your peace today

Go and Tell Israel

Go and tell Israel
That the good news is preached
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That the blind man now sees
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That the lame man now leaps
No greater love has any ever seen

Jesus died on the cross
Oh, my soul was lost
By His grace, His love has lifted me

Go and tell Israel
That the captive’s been set free
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That I have borne all their griefs
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That their lives have been redeemed
No greater love has any ever seen

Jesus rose up from the grave
Oh, my soul was saved
And by faith, Ill walk in victory

Go and tell Israel
That Jesus Christ is King
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That I’ve prepared a place for thee
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That they will soon be with Me
No greater love has any ever seen

I’m A Pauper

I’m a pauper in rich man’s clothes
That don’t fit.
But don’t worry —
I know this song and dance.
I know what brings the applause of the crowd
And the praise of nobility.

I click my heels and offer my hand.
I keep my chin high in the turns,
Smile at those on the sidelines
Who wish they had clothes like me
And bow with all formality
At the violin’s end.

Later I will undress
And do a proper wild man’s dance
Where I spin my heart and soul
In perfect time with the torrid beat,
And only the stars will see that
I am the true king.

I Can Slay My Own Dragons

To look at me
You might not see it at first
But if you look closely
The heart of a lion
Appears

I stalk my prey
And guard the den
I rehearse the defense
As I pace back and forth
And roar in vengeance
To let trespassers know
That this is my place
My space
I am king

And when the attack comes
I am quick to the slaughter
I will claw and scratch and bite
To the death
I will shed my blood
And lay it all down
Until the victory
Is surely mine

I can slay my own dragons
But I need someone
To wipe the sweat from my brow
And lick the wounds
When the dust has settled
On the plain
