Love Scraps

Little love scraps
Surround me everywhere
In every peripheral corner
I see clearly
A reminder of the love we share
A note on the fridge
A twisted pipe cleaner heart
A card from yesteryear
All speak to me in whispers
As I pass by, oft unaware
Yet the soft voice of love has spoken
An eternal word to be heard
And when I cast my gaze upon them
My soul is still stirred
And whether distant or silent
The message remains clear
Though time may play tricks with the memory
In my heart you are here

When I Hear the Birds Sing

When I hear the birds sing
In the middle of the night
Then I know you’re watching over me

Saying everything’s
Gonna be all right
And I know your love covers me

When I see the birds fly
So high up in the sky
Then I know your spirit carries me

When I see the blue sky
And the sun is shining bright
Then I know there is a place for me

Lord, I Give

Lord, I give my life today
Open my ears to what you say
Teach my heart to know your ways
Humbly I pray

Child, you ask a righteous thing
I receive your offering
Come and bow before your king
Receive new life today

Lord, I give my life to you
Help me to know what to do
Take this heavy yoke away
Humbly I pray

Child, I hear your every cry
I will wipe the tear from your eye
Know the Lord is drawing nigh
Receive your peace today

The Journey

As I was walking one rainy day
I saw a rainbow on my way
As I searched for my heart’s desire

I gazed in awe at its vibrant hue
Oh I know then what I wanted to do
But the rainbow was far from my reach

For you see, the story is told
Rainbow’s end holds a pot of gold
So I knelt before God and prayed

Promises, promises
You always keep
All of your promises
For those who seek

He sent a stranger passing by
Who grabbed my hand, pointed to the sky
And said, “I’ll help you climb.”

So eagerly with gold in sight
We traveled on with all our might
But it’s hard to climb a rainbow

Along the way my heart grew weary
“God, where’s my gold?” I demanded in fury
And I fell to the earth

Promises, promises
Please hear my call
Where are your promises
After the fall

Yet by my side the stranger stood
And whispered, “Child, you know the Lord is good.”
And I believed.

Again the stranger took my hand
As he led me on a walk so grand
And I praised God

For his promises, promises
You always keep
All of your promises
For those who seek

Promises, promises
You heard my call
You are Lord of the promises
You are Lord of all

For I journeyed to the rainbow’s end
Faith turned to gold, but you, my friend,
Are the treasure my heart desires

I Hear Your Voice

I hear your voice
I hear your voice
And I rejoice in your love
A gift from above
I hear your voice

I see your face
I see your face
The face of love that does erase
All of my disgrace
I see your face
I see your face

I feel your hand
I feel your hand
The hand of love that understands
Who I really am
I feel your hand
I feel your hand

I lift my voice
I lift my voice
And my heart’s choice is to love
The only Son of God
I lift my voice

I give my life
I give my life
With you is where I want to be
You are my destiny
I give my life
I give my life

I Am Your Shield

I am your shield and your very great reward
I am your shield and your very great reward
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid
For I am your shield and your very great reward

I am your God and I will never let you down
I am your God and I will never let you down
Do not be afraid
Do not be afraid
For I am your God and I will never let you down

You are my God and there is no one else but Thee
You are my God and there is no one else but Thee
I am not afraid
I am not afraid
For you are my God and there is no one else but Thee

I Always Believed

I always believed
I always believed
That you’d come back to me
But I didn’t know where
And I didn’t know when
Somehow I always knew
That me and you
Were never through

I always believed
I always believed
You were my destiny
But I didn’t know where
And I didn’t know when
Somehow I always knew
Our love was true
And without end

Healer of My Soul

If I can but touch the hem of his garment
I shall be made whole
If I can but touch the hem of his garment
I shall be made whole
If I can but touch the hem of his garment
I shall be made whole
I shall be made whole

Healer of my soul
You are healer of my soul

Go and Tell Israel

Go and tell Israel
That the good news is preached
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That the blind man now sees
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That the lame man now leaps
No greater love has any ever seen

Jesus died on the cross
Oh, my soul was lost
By His grace, His love has lifted me

Go and tell Israel
That the captive’s been set free
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That I have borne all their griefs
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That their lives have been redeemed
No greater love has any ever seen

Jesus rose up from the grave
Oh, my soul was saved
And by faith, Ill walk in victory

Go and tell Israel
That Jesus Christ is King
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That I’ve prepared a place for thee
No greater love has any ever seen
Go and tell Israel
That they will soon be with Me
No greater love has any ever seen

For God So Loved the World

For God so loved the world
For God so loved the world
That He gave
He gave His only son

For God so loved the world
For God so loved the world
That He gave
He gave His only son

That whosoever will
Whosoever will believe
He will never die
He will never die

But have everlasting life
Everlasting life
Oh, believe me
For Jesus came into the world
To save and not to condemn it
