You Are Welcome Here

You are welcome here
Have no fear
I’ve called you as my own

You are welcome here
All draw near
I have made your heart my home

Cause you are loved
You are my love
Will you believe
My love will set you free
And you are mine
This love divine
It’s all for you
My dreams come true

I painted this at Sarah’s house tonight. 🙂

My Lover Has Strong Arms

My lover has strong arms
Like a mighty citadel.
Though he dwells in flesh,
He encompasses my whole world.

These arms invite me
Into his fortress, his security,
His great tenderness,
And need for me.

In his gentle care
I am full and free,
Buoyant, without want or worry
My every dream, a majestic reality.

When his eye is on me, I am love-sick and weak.
There is no other gaze I seek.
His heartbeat woos me,
And in his love I am complete.

My lover has strong arms
Like a mighty citadel,
And though he dwells in flesh,
He encompasses all eternity.

With His Kind Declension

With his kind declension
I set a small memorial stone in its place
Laced with a thousand longing sentiments
Left unsaid
I bury the hope and lie dormant, like sleeping beauty
Awaiting the fair prince
My soul once kissed
